Outside of School Hours Care

The St Mary’s College Outside of School Hours Care (OSHC) program is run by CatholicCare Tasmania and caters to children from Kindergarten to Year 6 needing care before school from 7.00am or after school until 6.00pm Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays).

CatholicCare Tasmania promotes values consistent with catholic teachings under the auspices of the Catholic Archdiocese of Hobart. They provide quality care for children in a safe, supportive, nurturing environment for school-aged children. The OSHC program aims to capture children’s likes, interests and hobbies, develops children’s potential and enables children to achieve independence.

The service can be used for frequent, occasional or emergency care. Child Care Benefit is available if your child is registered with Centrelink.

Vacation care

The Vacation Care program will recommence at the College on Wednesday 17 December 2025.

The service will be closed from 6.00pm on Thursday 23 December until 7.00am on Tuesday 6 January 2026.

Vacation care is provided from 8.00am to 6.00pm Mondays to Fridays during all school holidays except between Christmas Day and New Year’s Day, and on public holidays. We are also open on any student free days planned by the College.

Please note, Kindergarten children cannot attend Vacation Care until they have completed a term of school.
