Year 10 Pillars camp

Posted on in Senior School

The picturesque Spring Beach in Triabunna was the perfect setting for our recent Year 10 Pillars camp.

Students had an unforgettable time bonding with one another and dabbling in gardening, pizza making, bush tucker, meditation and yoga, as well as team building exercises and outdoor activities that encouraged them to draw from their growth mindset to overcome personal challenges.

The group was stationed at the Spring Bay Mill Glamping Field and in true ‘glamping’ style, they slept in canvas tents with rechargeable LED lanterns.

“Pillars was a great opportunity for our Year 10s to bond with each other and experience new things,” Cate (Year 10) said.

“A highlight of the camp was the last day’s House performance. It was great to see the effort put into these performances and everyone getting along with each other,” she said.

“Shout out to College for no doubt raising the bar high for the rest of the Houses!

“Overall, it was an amazing camp that we all enjoyed very much! Thank you to Mr Jarvis and Mrs Webb for organising this experience, as well as the other staff and volunteers who came along and made this trip possible.”
