Eighty-five students from St Mary’s College were among more than 300 aspiring young Tasmanian scientists who recently took part in the southern Science and Engineering Investigation Awards.
The event is an annual state-wide competition challenging school students in Year 5-12 to present and explore a research topic of their choice.
SMC won 19 prizes; six in Year 7, three in Year 8, four in Year 9 and six in Year 10.
The prizes will be announced at an awards ceremony tomorrow night (Thursday 21 September).
