Hobart Family Dental is a family owned dental business that provides for people of all ages. They have recently started a new ‘Oral Recycling’ program that provides Hobart with an opportunity to recycle dental products such as toothbrushes, floss containers, toothpaste tubes and caps and other packaging. Schools all around Hobart have been asked to participate in this program, and St Mary’s have wholeheartedly taken up the request.
In the Student Services Office there will be a box for you to discard of your old toothbrushes, toothpaste tubes and floss containers instead of disposing of them into landfill. By throwing away these items, you are damaging the environment. Around 2,000,000 toothbrushes go to landfill every year just in Tasmania!
By giving your old toothbrushes to Hobart Family Dental, these objects can be re-purposed into new plastic items. Imagine all that plastic from 2 million toothbrushes; it can endanger so many animal species if they come across it in landfill. Hobart Family Dental are showing respect to the environment, and you can too by donating your old dental products and packaging.
