A full house packed the Mary Morgan Wing for the annual Vinnies Quiz night on Friday 15 September.

The St Vincent de Paul Society has a special place within the heart of St Mary’s College.

Vibrantly embodying the traits, charism and mission echoed by the Presentation Sisters, the role that the society has played within the cultural life of the College is immeasurable.

Over the past several years, the school has worked closely with the Vinnies Youth Team to assist and support the organisation in its outstanding works through various school-wide fundraiser and awareness events.

However, the highlight of the social calendar is, and continues to be, the annual quiz night.

On September 15, the St Mary’s College St Vincent de Paul team was proud to host the 2017 quiz night. The evening consisted of challenging questions, exciting games and, most importantly, enviable prizes.

With 80-plus trivia champs in attendance, the night was rife with healthy competition and comradery.

The highly coveted winning title was swept away by the ‘Let’s Get Quizzical’ team after a close battle with the teacher’s table.

Coming together under the collective effort of the ‘Mini-Vinnies’ team, along with teachers and staff, the night was an astounding success.

Special thanks are extended to Mr Michael Gaynor, Mr Andrew Clarke, Mr Matthew Williams and Mrs Charmaine Fenton for their unwavering care and dedication towards the cause.

The evening was generously supported by the following sponsors:
