St Mary’s College parents and carers are invited to attend a free facilitated information evening presented by Mitch McPherson, founder of SPEAK UP! Stay ChatTY, at the College on Monday 9 April (6.00pm for a 6.30pm start).
This one-hour session will address basic mental health information, risk factors and warning signs of suicide, lived experiences of bereavement by suicide and ways of engaging young people in conversations about mental health.
Mitch will also provide information about the community-based resources available for students and parents on the topic.
The session will run for approximately one hour. Please refer to the below flyer for further details. Please send RSVPs to Ryan Flack: email@example.com by Friday 6 April.
SPEAK UP! Stay ChatTY is a registered not-for-profit that works to promote positive mental health and prevent suicide by normalising conversations about mental health and encouraging people to seek help when they need it.
The organisation’s key message is ‘that nothing is so bad that you can’t talk about it’.CLICK THIS TEXT TO DOWNLOAD THE FLYER AS A PRINTABLE PDF
