The College was delighted to welcome back three inspiring alumni recently as part of the first in a series of Alumni Pathway Panels.
Speaking with students from Years 10–12 Pillars, our panellists Kylie Morgan (Class of 2003), Claire Bessell (Class of 1998) and Joey Walsh (Class of 1998) shared their personal stories working in hairdressing, accounting and medicine (anaesthesia), giving students a glimpse into the real world beyond school and the many ways a career can unfold.
The session was a great reminder that there’s no single path to success and that what matters most is following your interests, staying curious and being open to wherever life takes you.
We extend our thanks and appreciation to Claire, Joey and Kylie for their honesty, wisdom and encouragement. It’s always special when our alumni return to inspire the next generation!
We must also thank our Pathways and Course Advisor, Lucy Paske (also an SMC alumna), for her work in facilitating this opportunity.
