Generosity and jazz set the tone for Cocktail Fundraiser and Auction

Posted on in Major

Historic St Peter’s Hall came alive on Saturday night as 100 brightly dressed guests stepped onto the red carpet – and under a disco ball – for our Cocktail Fundraiser and Auction, the College’s major fundraiser for 2026.

Guests soaked up the atmosphere with delicious canapés, drinks – including frozen cocktails – and an impressive exhibition of student artwork created for our Presentation Sisters’ Portrait Project. The evening opened with performances by cellist Arabella Butterworth-Barry (Year 12) and pianist Scott Weston, with alumna Laura Brown hosting the evening as MC. A live jazz band then took over, setting the stage for the centrepiece of the event: an exciting, high-stakes auction.

Following an online run with over 90 donated items, bidding reopened that night for an exclusive selection of premium prizes.

Thanks to the extraordinary generosity of our families, staff and local businesses, the evening raised over $15,000 to support the College’s future building works, such as the Proposed Presentation Arts Precinct.

Congratulations to all our auction winners, and a heartfelt thank you to every sponsor, business partner, parent, carer, alumna, staff member, student and volunteer who helped make the night a resounding success.
