“Named after a beloved past Principal of St Mary’s College, the Tom Dorey Student Resource Centre (SRC) is the homely heart of St Mary’s College.”

The Tom Dorey Student Resource Centre (SRC) is a warm and calm space for students to find/read a book or quietly play one of the various board games on offer.

The SRC is open before and after school, at recess for Senior School students and for Years 3 to 12 at lunchtimes.

Our friendly and qualified Teacher Librarians and Library Technicians inspire students on their individual reading journey and assist them with referencing and research education.

The SRC is always a beautifully decorated space. Book Week is a much-loved annual event, it hosts a variety of literary treats/competitions and our Book Character dress-up parade in both Junior and Senior Schools is a highlight!

The versatility of the space allows staff and students to run a variety of services like meetings, incursions, tours and clubs.

In addition to physical books, the SRC collection offers students a range of digital resources and equipment such as cameras and calculators.

Groving our love of learning

St Mary's College is located on the traditional lands of the muwinina people of the South East Nation. We acknowledge and deeply respect the palawa people, the Tasmanian Aboriginal Community, and all Elders past and present. We are committed to learning alongside our students and community in this place, nipaluna, and support the continued sharing of knowledge and culture.
