Has your child missed a vaccination for 2017?

The Hobart City Council wishes to remind parents that students in Year 7 are only eligible to receive the human papillomavirus and diphtheria, tetanus and pertussis vaccination at no cost by December 31, 2017. To vaccinate at a later date you will be required to pay for these immunisations.

If you would like your child to commence or catch up on missed dose you may attend one of the options listed below.

Also, for students between the ages of 15-19 years who have missed the meningococcal ACWY vaccination you may also catch up at the listed venues:

  • Attend a school-based immunisation catch-up session on November 1, 2017 between 3.00-4.30pm at the Elizabeth Street Conference Room, Town Hall, Macquarie Street, Hobart (free parking available). 
  • Attend monthly council vaccination sessions on November 8 or December 13, 2017 between 10.00am-12.00pm at the Elizabeth Street Conference Room, Town Hall, Macquarie Street, Hobart (free parking available). 
  • Attend another council vaccination session (see www.dhhs.tas.gov.au.au).
    Visit your family doctor for the vaccination (the vaccine will be free but the may charge a consultation fee).
