Kinder enrolments closing soon

Written by SMC Administrator. Posted in Featured News, Timeline

St Mary’s College is accepting applications for the first girls-only Kinder class for 2021.

In an exciting move for our school’s future, St Mary’s College will mark a milestone in its history with Kinder in 2021 as we continue to specialise in girls early childhood education.

In the early years, we teach our girls in a framework of belonging, being and becoming.

The Kinder program at the College is designed to nurture and provide opportunities to build confidence, independence and the joy of discovery and learning, which will carry on well beyond the student’s year in Kinder.

Applications for girls in Kinder 2021 are due on Friday 1 May 2020.

We ask current families to please complete sibling enrolment applications as soon as possible to secure your child’s place in Kinder in 2021.

For more information about our enrolment process, or if you have any queries,, please contact Fiona Medwin, Enrolment Officer via (03) 6108 2560 or

Well done to all rowers who bravely took on the cool waters of the Franklin while competing in the recent Southern Schools Regatta (15–16 February).

All rowers put on a strong team performance and should be commended for their efforts during the two-day event.

Congratulations to our students who came second in the Open Eight and Under 16 Eight — these are fantastic results!

Junior swimmers make a splash

Congratulations to all Year 3–6 students who participated in the Junior School Swimming Carnival at the Clarence YMCA Aquatic Centre on Thursday 13 February.

There was a great deal of colour, camaraderie and House spirit on display as students cheered each other on from the sidelines and chanted their House anthems with enthusiasm and pride.

The spirit continued in the water, with some impressive performances from our students as they raced across the pool.

Well done to all competitors on their efforts and a special thank you to all staff, students and parents who assisted with various aspects of the carnival.
