About the position

The College is seeking an outstanding and experienced Learning Support Officer to assist the Design and Technologies teachers in the preparation of materials and maintenance of tools and equipment used in the workshops and machine room.

The successful applicant will be experienced and have the ability and flexibility to work alongside the class teacher and students in the classroom and the workshops.

The Learning Support Officer must have knowledge and experience with the maintenance of hand tools, power tools and large preparation machines such as surface planar, thicknesser, band saw, docking saw, radial arm saw, drop saw, table saw, mitre saw and belt sanding tables.

The successful applicant must be able to work independently and demonstrate initiative in recognizing the needs of the various areas and facilities in the classroom and workshops.
