About the position
The EALD Teacher works within the whole-school initiatives to address the needs of students through a culture of inclusiveness and focuses on the holistic growth and development of each student. They will work closely with teachers to plan and implement teaching strategies and programs that identify and respond to the individual needs of EALD (English as an additional language or dialect) students. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the Lantern Leader and Wellbeing team. They will communicate with parents as key partners in the educational outcomes of students and liaise with visiting specialists, including Therapists and interpreters to support student learning.
To be eligible applicants are required to:
- Be committed to the aims and philosophy of Catholic Education.
- Be able to articulate a commitment to learning and teaching.
- Be willing to participate fully in the life of the school.
- Have appropriate graduate and/or post graduate qualifications.
- Be a registered Teacher in Tasmania or be able to gain registration prior to the commencement of the position.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience and in accordance with the Tasmanian Catholic Education Single Enterprise Agreement 2024.
