About the position

We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Teacher of Design Technologies to join our expanding secondary school learning area, providing students with opportunities to explore practical innovation and trade-based pathways.

Commencing Term 1 2026, as a full-time Teacher, you will work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver an engaging, student-centred curriculum that inspires problem-solving, design thinking, and real-world application.

We are seeking a personable teacher who can inspire and connect with students, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.

To be eligible applicants are required to:

  • Have a demonstrated ability to teach VET and TASC Technology courses.
  • Ability to teach in an additional discipline would be advantageous.
  • Be committed to the aims and philosophy of Catholic Education.
  • Be able to articulate a commitment to learning and teaching.
  • Be willing to participate fully in the life of the school.
  • Have appropriate graduate and/or post graduate qualifications.
  • Be a registered Teacher in Tasmania or be able to gain registration prior to the commencement of the position.
