On the Thursday the 20 of June, the Year 9 Business Studies class ran six different businesses in small groups as part of the $20 Boss Program. We sold hot chips, pancakes, cake, sausages, a zorb ball experience and smoothies. These businesses raised money towards Rare Cancers Australia, making a total of $573.45 between them to go towards the research into rare cancers. The $20 Boss Program aims to teach school students about business ownership and what it takes to be a successful entrepreneur. It gives them the experience of owning their own business and encourages them to be forward thinking and problem solving. The Year 9 Business Studies class would like to thank St Mary’s College and everyone who supported our businesses for the opportunity to be a part of this program and all of the interesting things that we learnt from it.
