Vocational Education and Training – VET

Vocational Education and Training courses are provided for senior students from Grades 10 – 12 who wish to undertake training whilst at school. The VET courses combine theory and practice at a diverse range of hospitality and tourism venues, local businesses, childcare facilities – both on the College premises and within the wider community, as well as working with designers and builders. Our state-of-art VET facilities meet industry standards and provide real-life training opportunities for students interested in broadening their horizons through career-life activities and training.

VET promotes confidence, maturity, skills acquisition and the ability to work with others. Life skills such as organisation and time management are invaluable to any student, whether her/his career path is via immediate employment after Grade 12 or via further study.

Vocational Education & Training is a very useful credential for students wishing to acquire practical skills and knowledge for traineeships and immediate employment, or as a background to tertiary study.
