Committees

Inspired St. Mary’s students enrich our College Community by serving on Student Committees.

Our girls can choose to be part of one of our St. Vincent de Paul conferences. Members visit nursing homes to provide company, visit child care centres to provide fun, and raise funds to support charitable works. Perhaps best of all, the chance to serve teaches each student valuable lessons about their own lives.

The Santa Maria Committee is responsible for producing our annual College year book. Girls on this committe learn to write articles, work in a team, process and arrange photographs, use technology and sometimes even meet deadlines! Thank you, girls! Mrs Haig, Mrs Forsyth and Ms Stuebing couldn’t do it without you!

We also have a student Environment Committee.

After school activities

St. Mary’s primary school students are invited to participate in after school drama classes with Mrs Sarah Triffitt where they study toward AMEB drama certification.

Many primary school students also enjoy taking part in after school computer classes with Ms Gaby Stuebing. Classes are held for students from grades 3 to 6. The classes for each grade run for six weeks. Grade 5s and 6s learn to make computer games using a program called Klik & Play while the grade 3s and 4s work on PhotoStory as well as improving their general ICT skills.
