SMC Girls complete their 2011 Trek across the middle of Tasmania

The adventurous grade 12's and 10's arrived back on Saturday May 28th keen for a shower, home cooking and their own bed. They had walked 60km with 18kg backpacks on Australia's most famous bush walk, the Overland track from Cradle Mt to Lake St Clair across the mountains in just 6 days.

Some of the highlights of the walk were the view across to Mount Oakley and the view over the Acropolis on the last day. Not to mention the joys of frosty mornings and iced up walking boots. Well worth the effort and well done girls.
