At St Mary’s we have enabled the integration of Information Communication Technologies throughout the College, creating an innovative and effective teaching and learning environment.

Solid technology helps students develop greater independence, increase engagement with school work and develop skills required to thrive in the 21st century.

Online student safety solution

St Mary’s College has implemented a dedicated online student safety solution that will ensure the online safety of students whilst using the College’s network.

The Saasyan Assure solution provides St Mary’s College with the ability to monitor student wellbeing across web-based searches, sites, videos, emails and images. The solution also raises alerts of potentially risky online activity detected against criteria such as self-harm, cyberbullying, online grooming and threats of violence.

The College ICT team implemented and tested the solution in mid-January to ensure it would be operational for the start of the 2024 school year.

We are proud to deliver a solution to better protect our student body with a proven product that is already protecting more than 400,000 students across 660 schools.

For further information, please view the full flyer linked here or visit the Saasyan Assure website.

Groving our love of learning

St Mary's College is located on the traditional lands of the muwinina people of the South East Nation. We acknowledge and deeply respect the palawa people, the Tasmanian Aboriginal Community, and all Elders past and present. We are committed to learning alongside our students and community in this place, nipaluna, and support the continued sharing of knowledge and culture.
