School Community

As you would expect for a College founded in 1868, our school community is diverse and multi layered. As an Archdiocesan College, St Mary’s is an integral part of the Catholic education sector in Tasmania and therefore shares a vision and mission with all Catholic schools in the State.

At another level we are quintessentially a Presentation College and as such our community is animated by our Presentation history, traditions and charism, together with our continuing connections to the Presentation Sisters. Our community brings together students, parents, staff, Old Scholars, Presentation Sisters, extended families and friends of the College. We value our community because a well-rounded education for our students is only possible in a strong community environment.
